Building Sustainability

Keeping construction costs down is always a priority, but what about long-term costs associated with maintaining a building? And what about a building’s environmental footprint? GreenBy3 collaborates with each client and construction team regarding ways to help make a building efficient, as well as discuss the use of environmentally friendly materials and furnishings.

We take extra steps for our clients to check into the efficiency ratings of all mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, kitchen appliances and anything else that contributes to the operational cost of the building. GreenBy3 also encourages the use of reclaimed materials, which not only saves money and keeps the materials out of the landfill, it adds character to any construction project. Examples include a beautiful custom boardroom table built out of reclaimed beams, a stairwell repurposed into a bicycle rack, glass panels used as walls for offices, raised floors to run power, data and other electronics.
