This week at GreenBy3: the Tiny Office gets solarized!

This week GreenBy3 received a special visit from solar expert and sustainability advocate Ned Ryan Doyle, who made the voyage from his home in Hendersonville, NC to lend his expertise, capture some footage for a solar installation video and to record an interview for his radio show, Our Southern Community.

You may have seen the Tiny Office crossing the Ravenel Bridge on Monday morning, in transit from its temporary location at 708 King st. to its home base at our Permaculture Experiment Site in Mt. Pleasant. Once the Tiny Office was in place, Ned Ryan Doyle gave the GreenBy3 team a hands-on tutorial in solar panel installation and together we mounted and connected two 85 watt panels, a 300 watt sine wave converter, two charge controllers and four 6 volt batteries to create a solar system that will power the Tiny Office. Ned also captured the solar project on video so we can share the learning experience with others.

On Wednesday the GreenBy3 team, along with Ned, gathered in our conference room for a 40 minute radio interview for Our Southern Community, a program that Ned has hosted for a decade. It was an entertaining experience to say the least!
